FAQ

Are meals provided?

Yes! There will be 2 breakfasts and 2 dinners that we will be serving. Please be aware that we will not be serving any lunches and there will be no dinners only on the Saturday. For more details, you can check out the schedule page for 2019.

What do I get as a jammer?

As a jammer, you will be receiving a personal name badge and an official Vancouver Global Game Jam 2019 T-Shirt!

Will there be any parking at VFS?

There will be no parking space at VFS, so it is highly encouraged that you take transit to the venue or have another individual drop you off close-by.

Are there any showers at the venue?

No. Unfortunately, there are no showers at our venue. It is recommended that jammers should either make a trip home or bring personal hygiene products if they want to maintain good hygiene throughout the jamming experience.

Is there a resting area where I can sleep overnight?

Yes. There will be a few unfurnished rooms that will be reserved for jammers that would like to sleep overnight at the venue. Please keep in mind that these rooms are very limited.

What if I can’t find a sound designer or an artist for my team?

You’re in luck! This year, we will be providing assistance for any audio or art related asset request from our talented teams, Tree of Audio and Pixel Route. There will be brief guidelines for requests that we receive. Please be sure to check with the crew to make sure that requested assets follow these guidelines and are viable under a code of conduct.

Artists are allowed to refuse any type of content that they are not comfortable with. No copyrighted material may be requested. There is no guarantee that requests can be fulfilled in time but we will try!
